Commitment to community

Giving back to the community was an important pillar of our company, even in the 70s. Founder Larry A. Mizel was quick to lend a hand to local youth, whether it be funding baseball team uniforms or helping young farmers and ranchers attend college.

Throughout the years, building stronger communities became just as important as building quality homes. In 1999, donations were taken to the next level with the formation of the MDC/Richmond American Homes Foundation. Since inception, the Foundation has given millions to organizations across the country and abroad.
